Yeah ... I know this is my first blog post so i don't want to start off being as sarcastic as I am in person. Well, that doesn't really matter right now ... lets just get down to business.
I know my title would have raised some eyebrows already ... please give me some space ... I love hip hop and I hope everyone who is reading this does. It reflects the world in blunt lyrics which most people try to runaway from. So when I talk about "positive" hip hop I am talking about the fact that the quality of hip hop has depreciated in aspects of why the culture was introduced, that means it is on the negative... I'm not trying to give a lecture and be all preachy about it I'm just giving you an idea of what I'm talking about. In Nas's words "Hip Hop is Dead!!" What conclusion do I come up with if you ask me? The Game as some call it needs more creativity, something to save it from this premature state. Rappers should put more effort in their work ... No!! don't get me wrong I know whats going through your mind. I ain't hating on no one's work, I appreciate music but maybe we need to raise the bar ...Ya digg!
The world has enough things wrong with it already, I'm talking financial recession, steroid use, and I had to mention this on my first one - First Black Presido . . sweet as saccharin!! so we don't want more crazies in the studio hallucinating on the mic and calling it hip hop. That's really disrespectful. Two wrongs cant make a right. "right?" So we need to make it more desirable, as valuable as the time spent in making it and maybe we gonna get that spontaneous feeling we expressed in the studio across to the listeners. Maybe some day that super hero is coming with some miraculous flow and deep lyrics that will save hip hop. That's lyrical genesis, taking it back to the roots, trace it back to it's origin-the streets! and I day dream that day all the time ...
talking about time, its time for me to dip I gotta take care of date ... Remember the thot of the day "It ain't tricking if you got it!"
Its me Blaze. I'm out.
